Succession plan for Bruno Räz

Under an agreed succession plan, Bruno Räz will hand over his role as Chair of the Management Board to Marco Hauri and his CSO role to Sascha Lauber, effective 1 October 2022

In anticipation of his forthcoming retirement, Bruno Räz informed the Board of Directors some time ago of his wish to withdraw from the operational management of Glutz AG at some point in 2022. In response to this wish, the Board of Directors undertook a succession plan in cooperation with Bruno Räz and the Management Board and decided to split the CMB and CSO roles, a change which means that the Management Board will be four strong in future.

The company found an ideal internal candidate to fill the CSO role: Sascha Lauber. As a federally certified sales manager with proven expertise in the sector, he will bring continuity to customer relations. Sascha Lauber is 44 years old and has worked for Glutz since 2010.

As its new Chair, the Management Board has secured Marco Hauri. Marco Hauri comes to Glutz AG with international management experience within the sector. He is 45 years old, qualified as an electrical engineer at ETH Zurich and holds an Executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen. He began his career as a research & development engineer at Ascom (Schweiz) AG, with later roles including CTO of Bixi Systems AG (later Securiton AG) and CTO/Global Head of R&D for the record Group. His most recent role before joining Glutz was Director for Innovation and Technology in the ‘Entrance Systems’ division of ASSA ABLOY. Marco Hauri: ‘This is an honour and I very much look forward to working with the Management Board team to lead the long-standing Solothurn company Glutz in an exciting market!’

Effective 1 October, the new CSO Sascha Lauber and the new Chair Marco Hauri will join existing members Karin Wynen (CFO) and Simon Isch (COO) on the Management Board as it takes over operational management of Glutz AG.

Bruno Räz will continue to assist the Glutz Group with strategic special projects. He has four decades’ experience in the lock and access systems industry and has contributed his innovation and implementation expertise to Glutz AG since 2010. He was a key factor in the establishment of the access systems business as a strategic direction as well as the overall expansion of the company.
