The Stadtcasino Basel has been among the top spots in the cultural city of Basel since 1826. The building has undergone several phases of renovation and expansion in the intervening years, in keeping with its unique cultural role and significance. In 2016, renovation and extension work began under the leadership of renowned architects Herzog & de Meuron. They chose to form a strong partnership with Glutz as they understand how to combine unique historical value with the latest in security technology. A highlight of this collaboration was casting brass replicas of the original door fittings based on artwork provided by the client in the Glutz factory, before machining them to the perfect shape.
