Commercial Employee EFZ
In your capacity as an apprentice commercial employee, you’ll take on diverse administrative duties within our company. This includes the drafting of letters, orders and tender offers in German, English and French. You will consult with customers, arrange meetings with suppliers, administer accounts and organise events. Over the course of your sales apprenticeship you will gain an insight into various departments – an ideal basis for your vocational future.
Information Technologist EFZ (Platform Development)
Information technology is now absolutely key, and Glutz AG is no exception. Wherever we are developing programs or setting up networks, we need IT specialists like you. Together with our existing team of IT specialists, you will plan, develop, install and operate our computers, hardware and operating systems. With your support, we can ensure that all Glutz AG users can work smoothly and efficiently.
Design Engineer EFZ
Do you have a passion for brain teasers and creative problem solving? In your role as design engineer, you will collaborate with other specialists in the development and construction of individual components and assemblies for devices, machines and systems, as well as for tools and devices involved in production. This means working closely with the production sector during your training, and you will also draft technical drawings in accordance with standard specifications.
Logistician EFZ
In our meticulously organised depot in Solothurn, you will receive training as an apprentice logistician in all aspects of incoming and outgoing goods, learning how to assume responsibility for the handling and inspection of stock. You will get involved in transporting and distributing goods, letters and packages, using the forklift truck and other warehouse vehicles. Computers and scanners are also an integral part of your day-to-day assignments in inventory control and planning.
Production Mechanic EFZ
Production mechanics manufacture individual components for products, instruments and machines. Your duties include the processing of high-grade steel and other metals. You will gain all relevant data from the technical drawings before switching to production using various machines, which you will learn to maintain and repair yourself. During your apprenticeship with us, you will spend time with different departments, enjoying the benefits of extensive training – the ideal preparation for your vocational future.
Moulder EFZ
Our manufactory produces individual fittings, bells and synthetic castings using traditional methods. During your training with us as a moulder with Federal VET Diploma, you will have the opportunity to learn this craft and produce cast parts of the highest quality from metal alloys. You will also prepare moulds, cores and casting tools, as well as producing and subsequently inspecting cast parts. This means that you will already be making a key contribution throughout the training period.

Applying for a position at Glutz
You can find all available apprenticeships online in our job listings. Our Human Resources team creates a short-list and then invites suitable applicants to an initial interview. Providing all goes well in the interview, you are then invited to participate in a trial day for the second stage, so you can get to know us better and familiarise yourself with your chosen vocational training, with a short compatibility test that lets you prove your abilities.
