The mortice espagnolette in combination with 11021 latch and accessories, provides automatic locking for an inactive leaf of a double-leaf door system. On pulling out the recessed lever, two shoot bolts are retracted into the leaf and locked into the retracted position, allowing the door to be opened. When the inactive leaf is placed into the closed position, the 11021 latch actuates the sprung loaded shoot bolts, locking the leaf in place.
