Glutz AG equips the Swiss pavilion and congratulates the winners of the Golden Lion

Glutz at the 16th Architecture Biennial, 26 May to 25 November 2018

The Biennial in Venice was founded in 1895, when the first International Art Exhibition was organized, and Switzerland has been present since 1920. The Architecture Biennale is today the most important international platform for architecture and urban planning. National tendencies and achievements are presented in individual national pavilions, including in the Swiss pavilion.

Pro Helvetia selected the young team of architects, Alessandro Bosshard, Li Tavor, Matthew van der Ploeg and Ani Vihervaara for this year’s project. With the title «Svizzera 240: House Tour», classic residential building is the theme of the project, which aims to raise the awareness of the viewers in an amusing fashion.

Together with the commissioner Pro Helvetia and the architect team, Glutz was able to realise the project and manufacture the oversized and undersized printers, as well as individually produced rosettes. Glutz is proud to be known as the epitome of safety and comfort in residential building.

The pleasure is now even greater: on 26 May 2018, the «Svizzera 240: House Tour» project was awarded the Golden Lion for the best national contribution at the 16th Architecture Biennial of Venice! The Golden Lion is one of the most important international architecture awards and was awarded to the Swiss pavilion for the first time.

We sincerely congratulate the ETH architect team and Pro Helvetia for its success and once again offer our thanks for the fantastic partnership.
