Data protection

The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data as confidential and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this Privacy Policy.

It is generally possible to use our website without providing personal data. The collection of personal data (such as name, address or e-mail address) on our website is always on a voluntary basis, whenever possible. Some of these data will be passed on to third parties in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Please be aware that there are inherent security risks in transmitting data via the Internet (e.g. e-mail communication). It is not possible to safeguard data completely against unauthorised access by third parties.

This website is operated by Glutz AG. Which data is transmitted to us by you in connection with your visit to our website depends in particular on the browser you use and its settings. If your settings permit, we use cookies, for example, to offer you an optimised use of our website. This includes information such as the region in which you are located, the language you select and the products and services you visit. This enables us to recognise you the next time you visit. It is also possible to visit our website completely anonymously.

For the provision of services and the processing of requests, we may require additional personal data from you, which we may combine with the above-mentioned data from your visit to the website to offer you content and services that are as closely tailored to your needs as possible. These data include name and address as well as usage data such as user name, password and IP address. Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties outside of Glutz AG. Such third parties are used. Your data will be processed to provide you with information on product innovations, updates in software and firmware, training courses, events or trade fairs, as well as news via e-mail or similar channels, provided that you have given your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time with future effect. We will then stop processing the data in the future, provided that we do not have to continue processing the data for other purposes, e.g. to comply with statutory documentation and storage obligations.

The website uses so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. These are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit our website.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the placement of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, prevent the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close the browser. When cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Hosting provider & server log files
The provider of the website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transfers to us. These are:

• IP address
• Browser type and browser version
• Operating system used
• Referrer URL
• Host name of the accessing computer
• Time of the server request

These data cannot be assigned to specific persons directly. These data are not combined with other data sources. We reserve the right to check these data subsequently if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use.

These data as well as all data of this website are stored at our hosting provider n c ag, an der Luberzen 25, CH-8902 Urdorf.

SSL encryption
This website uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests you send to us as the website operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transfer to us cannot be read by third parties.

Contact form
If you send us requests using the contact form, your data from the request form, including the contact information you provide and your IP address, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the request and for follow-up questions. We will not pass on these data without your consent.

Newsletter data
If you wish to subscribe to the newsletter offered on the website, we require from you an e-mail address and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter.

We only use these data to send the requested information.

You can withdraw your consent to the storage of your data, your e-mail address and its use to send the newsletter at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter.

Registration for our newsletter takes place in a so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after registration you receive an e-mail asking you to confirm your registration.

This confirmation is necessary so that nobody can log in with unknown e-mail addresses.

Newsletter subscriptions are logged in order to prove that the registration process is in compliance with legal requirements. This includes the storage of the time of registration and time of confirmation as well as the IP address. The changes to your data stored by MailChimp are also logged.

The newsletter is sent by “MailChimp”, a newsletter distribution platform of the US provider Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

The e-mail addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as their further data described in this notice, are stored on the servers of MailChimp in the USA. MailChimp uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletter on our behalf.

Furthermore, MailChimp can use this data in accordance with its own information to optimise or improve its own services, for example to technically optimise the distribution and display of the newsletter or for economic purposes in order to determine which countries the recipients come from. However, MailChimp does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself and does not pass the data on to third parties.

We trust in the reliability and the IT and data security of MailChimp. MailChimp is certified under the US-EU data protection agreement "Privacy Shield" and thus commits itself to comply with EU data protection regulations. Furthermore, we have concluded a data processing agreement with MailChimp. This is a contract in which MailChimp undertakes to protect the data of our users, to process the data on our behalf in accordance with its privacy policy and in particular not to pass data on to third parties. MailChimp’s privacy policy can be viewed here.

Statistical surveys and analyses
Newsletters contain a so-called "web-beacon", i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the MailChimp server when the newsletter is opened. During this retrieval, technical information such as information about the browser and your system as well as your IP address and time of retrieval are collected initially. This information is used to technically improve the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behaviour using their retrieval locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or access times.

The statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked on. Although this information can be assigned to the individual newsletter recipients for technical reasons, neither we nor MailChimp intend to observe individual users. The evaluations serve us rather to recognise the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content in line with our users’ interests.

You can stop receiving our newsletter at any time, i.e. withdraw your consent. At the same time, your consent to the distribution of this via MailChimp and statistical analyses terminates. A separate withdrawal of consent for distribution via MailChimp or statistical evaluation is unfortunately not possible. You will find a link to cancel the newsletter at the end of each newsletter.

Legal bases General Data Protection Regulation
In accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into force on 25 May 2018, we hereby inform you that your consent to the sending of e-mail addresses is based on Art. 6 (1) a, 7 GDPR and Section 7 Para. 2 No. 3 and Para. 3 German Unfair Competition Act (UWG). The use of the distribution service provider MailChimp, performance of statistical surveys and analyses as well as logging of the registration procedure are based on our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) f GDPR. Our interest is based on the use of a user-friendly and secure newsletter system that serves both our business interests and the expectations of users.
